LH series

The vertical axis that still holds when the power goes.

A vertical axis has one job more than a horizontal one: it has to carry the load even when nothing is being controlled any more. The LH has a spring-applied brake on the motor and a pneumatic counterbalance that takes up the dead weight of the carriage.

What defines this type

The brake engages, it does not release

The spring-applied brake holds without power. It is released to travel and closes at every stop, every emergency stop and every loss of supply.

Pneumatic counterbalance

A cylinder carries the dead weight. The motor therefore works only against the payload, and the axis runs at the same speed in both directions.

Fall protection tested

We test the hold at twice the rated load and supply the report. The test is repeated at every service.

Where it ends

Beyond 1,200 mm of travel the counterbalance becomes more work than the axis. For that we build a special solution rather than a series.
